  February 2005: Czech Radio Pardubice (another Czech radio station) exchanged their scheduling and broadcasting system.  The program is generated in RCS Linker, 8BC CartMaster provides the broadcast, program splits are managed via 8BC CartMaster Satellite as usual.  The whole broadcast is recorded with 8BC RecordTool.

  News in 2004:

  December 2004 - Czech Radio Jihlava exchanged their scheduling and broadcasting system. The program is generated in RCS Linker XV and 8BC CartMaster takes care about broadcasting as usual. Local splits are solved via 8BC CartMaster Satellite. The whole broadcast is recorded in 8BC RecordTool.

  November 2004
- Radio Černá Hora decided for 8BC technologies. RCS Selector and RCS Linker are used for program scheduling and 8BC CartMaster for broadcasting. The station also uses CartMaster Satellite for satellite broadcasting on four frequencies.

- New 8BC CartMaster v10.50 supporting time sensitive commands available.

- We remind to all RCS Selector users that during Saturday 25 October night you should adjust Daylight Savings.  We recommend you to set the following in Selector:

Schedulers  >  1. Day Scheduler  >  F5 - Daylight Savings Time Adjustment. Thus you will get a 120-minutes long hour when generating your log.
For CartMaster system users: In case you are using time synchronisation at night we recommend you to set status of all elements scheduled in Selector for the 26 October 2 to 3 AM timeband to "Fix" (Alt+S). First of all be sure that the right log displaying format is active (Alt+7).
For Selector XV (Windows version) users: The change is performed automatically in your system.

- Slovak radiostations Radio Fajn and Radio MAX decided to implement 8BC technologies. RCS Selector and RCS Linker are used for program scheduling and 8BC CartMaster for broadcasting, which is a kind of tradition. 8BC RecordTool provides broadcast recording.

- Bonton Radio DeeJay, having used RCS Selector and RCS Linker for a long time, left its previous system behind and started using 8BC CartMaster for broadcasting.

- Trnkobraní internet radio got to work at www.trnkobrani.cz using technologies provided by 8BC. Broadcasting PC is remote-controlled and managed with automatized audio and program distribution.

- Radio Metuje extended the coverage of their transmitters with a new one again. The main program is enriched by the local news and commercials on the two independent channels. Of course, 8BC CartMaster Satellite is used for local splits.

- Spending a few months testing our software Radio 1 from Prague decided to use scheduling and broadcasting technologies from 8BC and RCS. RCS Selector takes care about the music part of scheduling, RCS Linker schedules the program elements and 8BC CartMaster ensures broadcasting. 8BC RecordTool provides continual recording of the whole broadcast.

- 8BC is glad to announce that CartMaster digital on-air system is fully supporting OGG Vorbis - the new up-to-date compressing format! 8BC CartMaster is the first on-air system in the world which fully supports this promising format.

  November 2003 - 8BC Ltd. is proud to announce that we finished the Czech version of Selector and Linker V12.  All of the previous users of the system may now use the full Czech version including its giant help files for free. Selector and Linker is the only scheduling software available in Czech.

- Radio Černá Hora and Radio HIT FM started using the most popular music and program scheduling system in the world - RCS Selector and RCS Linker. The conversion of their song library and putting the system into operation was very fast also due to the flexibility of the people in the station.

- Radio NAJ in Trnava, Slovakia now schedule and broadcast entirely with the 8BC technology. Scheduling is provided by RCS Selector/Linker, broadcasting is performed by 8BC CartMaster, and for the broadcast recording NAJ use 8BC RecordTool.

- RCS Inc. represented by 8BC Ltd. succeeded in the tender of the scheduling software for Czech Radio. CR starts using Selector XV for music scheduling, Linker XV for program elements scheduling and Selector Enterprise for central management and CR regional studios analysis since August 1, 2003. The Czech Radio also uses 8BC RecordTool for broadcast recording.

  July 2003
- Radio Life leaves its previous on-air system and passes to 8BC CartMaster.  Like every other radio station using CartMaster for broadcasting, Radio Life too schedules music and program with RCS Selectoru a RCS Linkeru, the world's Number One among the scheduling systems.  CartMaster is now the best used digital on-air system in the Czech Republic - it's used by the local and the nationwide stations.  The same can be said about Selectoru and Linkeru, which are used by almost 90% media in the Czech Republic.

- Radio Impuls leaves its previous on-air system and passes to 8BC CartMaster.  Impuls also usee Selector and Linker for program scheduling and 8BC RecordTool for broadcast recording.

- Selector and Linker is the choice not only for the radio stationsBeside Slovak JOJ TV it is for program scheduling used also by Czech music television, Stanice O TV.

  News in 2002:

  December 2002 -Every Český rozhlas (ČRo) studio stopped using VHS videorecorders for broadcast recording and uses 8BC RecordTool. RecordTool is the most frequently used broadcast recording system in the Czech Republic.

  November 2002 - Radio Impuls upgraded its music and program scheduling software - the broadcast is now completely generated in RCS Selector and RCS Linker. Selector is used by all nationwide radio stations in the Czech Republic now. The broadcast of prepared Impuls 2 radio will be provided by the same platform as its maternal station: RCS Selector/Linker and 8BC CartMaster. The broadcast is backed up via 8BC RecordTool.

  November 2002 - Radio Metuje left its previous on-air system during three weeks and is fully equipped with RCS Selector/Linker and 8BC CartMaster. Moreover, the station's disconnecting frequency in Jičín is provided by 8BC CartMaster Satellite technology. The disconnecting PC is fully controlled via Internet!

  August 2002 - Radio Zlatá Praha left Tiesseci on-air system after a few years and converted its broadcast fully to the 8BC CartMaster platform during several days. The broadcast is further generated by RCS Selector, the world's Number One scheduling system, non-musical elements are scheduled by RCS Linker.

  June 2002 - Country radio in Prague bet on technology provided by 8BC - the whole broadcast is prepared via RCS Selector and Linker and aired completely by 8BC CartMaster. Now it is a tradition to say that broadcast recording is provided by 8BC RecordTool.

  March 2002 - RCS Selector, the sophisticated music scheduling program for radio stations celebrates its 23rd birthday! Selector is now used by more than 90% of the radio and television stations all over the world, MTV or VIVA among others.

  January 2002 - Radio Expres completely upgraded their system to the scheduling and on-air system provided by 8BC. RCS Selector and RCS Linker is used for management and scheduling operations, 8BC CartMaster for broadcasting the prepared material. The station uses 8BC RecordTool for the broadcast recording.

  January 2002 - Radio Delta, Radio Jizera and Radio Impuls now use digital on-air studios and recording system by 8BC. Radio iDnes, which is a Internet radio station with the highest number of listeners in the Czech Republic, uses 8BC technology too.


                                      


  News in 2001:

  December 2001 - CartMaster and CartMaster Satellite are the only Czech digital on-air systems using their own high quality real-time Time-Stretch/Squeeze cores, which allow local disconnecting with one hundredth's accuracy. 8BC also introduced new dynamic local disconnecting technology allowing you to change the lengths of particular disconnections among others.

  December 2001 - 8BC RecordTool MultiStream backup recording system's new version allows unlimited channels backup.

  November 2001 - Radio Kiss Morava 101.1/96.5 fm as the first radio station in the Czech Republic initiated local disconnections with the most up-to-date dynamic windows technology. While the studio in Ostrava runs 8BC CartMasterTM DualHead system, 8BC CartMaster Satellite and 8BC PowerTools takes care about the studio in Šumperk. The broadcast of both frequencies (Ostrava/Šumperk) is synchronized with 1 hundredth of second accuracy so the listeners in both localities cannot hear the disconnection itself. Both of the programs are back up via 8BC RecordTool.

  October 2001 - The end of fixed lengths of your disconnetions! New dynamic windows technology allows to adjust particular disconnections' lengths according to the longest break. 8BC CartMaster Satellite: hot news for stations demanding professional local disconnecting.

  September 2001 - New features 8BC Messenger and 8BC Hotkeys makes radio communication and on-air studio work easier.
